Kerry Pollard received a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. He began his career as a reservoir, operations and exploitation engineer for Amoco Production Company in Alvin and Houston, Texas.
After his tenure with Amoco, Kerry joined the staff at Reading & Bates Petroleum Company. In Houston, and later Tulsa, he maintained all company and outside-operated producing properties and managed Reading & Bates drilling operations along the Gulf Coast.
Kerry began his consulting career with Don Ray George & Associates in Austin, Texas. After eleven years of consulting, he formed his own firm. In January 1995, Kerry co-founded the privately held engineering firm of Pollard, Gore & Harrison specializing in petroleum and environmental engineering.
In 2004, he left Pollard, Gore & Harrison to form Pollard Petroleum Consulting.
In addition to his engineering expertise, Kerry advises clients in state and federal regulatory matters. He has served clients in various capacities before state and federal regulatory agencies, in state and federal court proceedings, and in arbitration and mediation matters.
Active in the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers (SPEE),Kerry was instrumental in forming the Austin sections of both SPE and SPEE. He is a former president of the Austin Section of SPE. He also served as chairman of the Central Texas chapter of SPEE and director of the international society. Kerry is a former committee chairman and publisher of the SPEE Survey of Parameters Used in Property Evaluation.
Kerry is licensed as a registered Professional Engineer in Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma.
